Dr. Campbell is committed to the dissemination and transfer of knowledge through publications and presentations.




Dr. Campbell teaches advanced social work practice courses and serves as a field liaison to University of Georgia MSW students interning the greater Atlanta area.




Dr. Campbell is engaged in various service activities within the University of Georgia's School of Social Work, on the broader campus, and in the Athens and greater Atlanta communities.

Dr. Campbell's research focuses on mental health, illness, and wellness among Black/African Americans.  Specifically, her research focuses on understanding the socio-cultural factors impacting 1) how Black/African Americans view and understand mental health, illness, and wellness and 2) the help-seeking behaviors and service use patterns
of Black/African Americans experiencing mental health problems, particularly depression.
